Third Piece (Recording)
My final project example I'll be documenting will be a recording session of our school band. Throughout this section our band will be covering 3 pieces although I will only be showing the very first piece. Recording the band was very limited as most of my resources were very old. So I decided to take my Yamaha mixer and use 4 of the schools microphones to record. All sound effects afterwards were added on FL Studio 12.
After trial and error I've concluded that recording a large band of about 20 people requires much more than 4 microphones but unfortunately due to my mixers max limitation of 4 microphones and the hassle it would be to set up any more I had to make due.
This is the first recording session of my project.
After adding reverb and delay I noticed the intense volumes of sound coming from the percussion and saxophone so I've added an equalizer to attempt to lower these sounds. Unfortunately it seems that doing this results in a general lowered "quality" in sound compared to the original.
