First Piece
Considering that I'll be making music out of midi to begin with and maybe experiment with other methods I want to find a piece that is relatively easy. I'll be starting off with recording and learning how to edit sound files of my recordings to further improve the overall quality of the music.

Using a guitar, and piano pre-set as a base for my instrumentation I've rebuilt the piece in a different key containing no flats or sharps.
Sound Effects
After the overall composition of the song, it's now time to add in sound effects to enhance the overall sound of everything. Reverb was used to allow more space to be filled between longer notes, along with some delay in some instruments, this can be heard from the piano significantly.

Final Piece
The Music
The piece will be a remake of Pachelbel's Cannon in D, using all digital instruments and a variety of sound effects from Fruity Loops.
Although the key I'll be working on is different the overall sound will be similar.
VST
While it's fun and all to use digital instruments we need to understand how to work them. Digital instruments, otherwise VST's are exactly what they sound like, digital audio placed upon a keyboard playing at different pitches with various other effects in place. That is the bare bone idea of a digital instrument.
I've used NEXUS pre-sets for most
